Is there any way IV can take up the NSC I140 processing times with USCIS???
Why is there a huge discrepancy between TSC and NSC wrt I140
Also the processing times NSC publsihes are not right.
for eg: My EB2 is pending from Dec 2006 and the latest update is Feb 2007.
i know there are a lot of people like me.

I hope supers789 gets the gist of retrogression and will plan his future accordingly for a way to live without GC for the next 3 or 4 years.

In case his I-140 was approved then there are no problems for this scenario right?
yes if I-140 is approved it makes a world of difference:
- keeps his GC process alive even if he changes employers since he is past the 180 day mark of 485 filing.
- he gets a 3 year H1 extension/transfer if his PD is not current.
thats the reason I advise him to hang on until the I-140 comes through; esp since he has a 2004 PD and its an utter waste of four-five years if that goes.
Even if employer is not treating you well, hang in there and smile; your turn to get even-steven will come soon enough.

Ask him to request I-140 premium processing; I think he is eligible. He will get the approval/denial in 15 days.

My dad had GC in 70s, he came and went back to India to pursue a lucarative job.
He is currently here on a visitor's visa and during the visa interview at Chennai, he showed his expired green card - and they confiscated it (after 30+ years of expiry)and gave him a tourist visa.

This seems to be a unique situation.
If the company does not object to your approval then you should be fine.
Please try to contact them or thier lawyer. (hopefully the lawyer is still in business :-) )

Friend of mine got her DL renewed for 1 yr based on EAD as her h1b extension is not approved yet.DMV ppl look at her EAD and renewed her DL for 1 yr without any questions. So i guess you are fine with yr DL extension for 1 yr. As per my understanding and some of the posts , i think you won't loose yr H1b status as you are not using EAD for employment. And answer to yr last question is my frd got her DL renewed in VA only. She got it at DMV on Gallows Road, VA (it's in Fairfax,VA). Hope this helps.

hopefulgc - I can understand where you are coming from. Billions of people are excited by the fact that President Barack Obama has made history and for some reason - people are under the impression that "He is the guy next door" who can make wonders.
Remember - a politician is always a politician. Politicians who come to power through mass have a certain charisma and aura around them which blinds us of the fact that they are also just another politician.
Now - We all know and are definitely excited about Obama and we definitely want to see a change. Change will come, but we have to remember that this is just the beginning. Nothing happens overnight.
Almost all my personal friends waiting for GC now think they will all get their GC because of Obama. Students think they will get GC stapled to their diplomas and this goes on.
Things will definitely improve and we all have to work hard. This government will definitely hear our side - and make decisions keeping us in mind.

Get images of checks cashed by USCIS, your receipt numbers are stamped on the back side of the checks. Use these RNs to call up USCIS and change your address.
Filing out AR-11 does not guarantee that USCIS will correspond to you on the new address.
I did get the cashed checks printouts and also changed the address in USCIS couple days back. The questions are:
- Assuming that USCIS has already sent the reciepts/EAD to my previous address and I have a redirection at USPost office to my new address.
Will they be redirected to my new address? Or is there is a policy on USCIS reciept mails that the mails from USCIS can't be redirected to a new address but need to be returned back unless the new address is updated in USCIS?

My company want to book me on flight and comanty sponsored cruise. Cruise leaves on Feb 27th. I am afraid it I will have AP then. Company need some confirmation of getting it as they will lose money.
I called USCIS and placed request to Expedite based on catagory 1 (financial loss to employer or individual). I was told that I will hear somehting in 5 days?
Should I contact local congressman and place request through them? How does the procedure go? I have no clue. I have taken infopass appointment at local USCIS for next week but I know that will be waste of time.
Any suggestions?

Why dont you PM them or call the number listed on the site, why do you want a thread for it. The IV agenda is listed on this site, i am sure they will support any bill that helps the cause.

I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don�t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don�t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
