I have a question. I heard about new premium processing rule for 140.
my friend�s six years is going to complete in next month , he has applied labour certification via PARM 10 months back and its pending, did he is eligible to file 140? Or he has to live next month?

California taxpayers need to cover higher fees of private lawyers, who are hired by the state as the Attorney General's Office doesn't have the staff to handle all of the cases internally. In some instances, the state has employed outside counsel at hourly rates that reach $450 even while most of its in-house lawyers earn less than half that. Rates can be much higher, if the suits require private attorneys having a particular expertise.
Since January 2008, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has signed about $24 million in contracts with private lawyers hired because the Attorney General's Office says it's too shorthanded to take the jobs. The corrections department is seeking the additional help despite having about 80 lawyers of its own to handle a gamut of cases, with about a dozen of those assigned to prisoner-filed litigation.

I have been working for a non-profit organization and have a H1-B through them. I never applied to the regular commercial H1. I was wondering if I can just transfer this non-profit H1 to a commercial company. Please share your experiences and thoughts.

The reversal that they are talking about is the July02 bulletin that said that they will not be accepting any applications as for the bulletin that came out in June for the Month of July (where the PD's were current). Nothing to worry about. Relax and continue with your filings. :)

Microsoft XNA is a popular framework applied with C# that is being used to create quality games. My thesis group decided to use the said framework for our thesis which required us to develop a game. The game automatically logs the actions that the players perform while playing. The data that will be gathered is to be used for our research which is mainly about player modeling. This question is for those who are residing in TX and renewed their AP. Recently I applied (efiling) for AP renewal for my spouse, the online system directed me to mail the supporting documents to Nebraska. I am thinking this is because our 485 is pending in Lincoln, NE. Did anyone who renewed their parole sent the supporting documents to TX. I have a wierd feeling that TX service center is much faster in EAD and AP renewals compared to NE. Can someone advice. Also, if doing a paper filing, can I send it to TX service center since I reside in TX? Thanks in advance.

I am working for a consultancy company at direct client location. My client has filed a H1B transfer petition for me with job title as Lead Business Analyst. My current job title with consulting company is programmer analyst. My question is that if I go for visa stamping with new employer�s I797, will I have any issues in visa stamping if they see the change in job title from programmer analyst (consulting company) to Lead Business Analyst (Full time)?

USCIS kept on updating the total number of cases received for H-1B for FY 2009-10. However, the recent USCIS H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) cap count indicates decline in number of cases than what had been previously reported. The updated count reports the receipt of 44,400 �Regular� cap cases, by June 12, 2009 which is lesser than the prior count of 47,700, given as of May 22, 2009. There is no explanation too from USCIS for this decline in trend. Thus, this reduced number may reflect either withdrawals by employers, denials by the USCIS, duplicate filings, or an error in the prior cap counts.
As of this writing, both the Advanced Degree and Regular caps remain open. We will continue to provide updated H-1B cap count information.
